This photo shows Mr Adam Gordon. Adam was a flight officer with Royal Air Force during World War II. He was awarded the DFC (Distinguished Flying Cross) for bravery.

Adam's parents Adam and Annie Gordon lived at Ord Cottage, Muir of Ord. His brother, John Gordon, was a signalman during the war and in later years became the proprietor of the music shop 'The Record Rendezvous', at Church Street, Inverness.
