This photo shows Mr John Gordon (left) and Mr Sam Cook, survivors from the Japanese Prisoner of War Camp, Changi.

Mr Gordon was a signalman during the Second World. During his time in the Signals he served in Malaya and was captured by Japanese soldiers. He spent a period of three years as a prisoner of war before being repatriated in 1945. In later years he became the proprietor of the music shop 'The Record Rendezvous', located at Church Street in Inverness.
