George Morrison (1905-89) of Sangobeg, Durness on rare visit to Glasgow in the 1930s.

Durness is a crofting township in northwest Sutherland. Close by is the famous Smoo Cave. The current population is around 400 people but there is archaeological evidence of human occupation going back 5000 years, including Pictish farming settlements from 2000 years ago. Sangobeg lies approximately 2 miles southeast of Durness.
