This photograph shows Old Keil Cemetery at Southend, about seven miles south of Campbeltown. Keil House can be seen in the background. The house was latterly a school and was destroyed by fire on the 7th February 1924.

Southend is reputed to be the place where St Columba first set foot in Scotland.
