Ardgour Hills from Achintore

The main access route to the Ardgour Peninsula is across Loch Linnhe by the Corran Ferry, south of Fort William. The countryside surrounding the Ardgour Hills is comparatively undeveloped with many single-track roads. Some of the best-known peaks in the area include Garbh Bheinn, Beinn Resipol and Sgurr Dhomhnuill.

The photograph is from 'Loyal Lochaber. Historical Genealogical and Traditionary' by W Drummond Norie, Glasgow, 1898
