Cairn Gorm lies at the northern end of the mountain range known as the Cairngorms. Cairn Gorm is Scotland's 6th highest mountain at 4082ft (1244m). The granite peak of the mountain has eroded to its present rounded form which is capable of supporting sub-Arctic Alpine wildlife.
