This cascade is found near Taymouth, a castle 6 miles from Dunkeld built by the Campbells of Glenorchy. It is thought that these are the Falls of Acharn located 3-4 miles from Taymouth Castle. The Falls, on the southeast side of Loch Tay, have a total drop of 80ft.
