This illustration was taken from "Argyll's Highlands" by Cuthbert Bede. It shows a photograph of Largie Castle, home of the MacDonalds of Largie, direct descendants of the Lords of the Isles. Nothing of the building remains, with only a fragment of the side wall of the house surviving until the late 19th century. The castle was situated at High Rhunahaorine Farm near the village of Tayinloan in the district of Kintyre
