Ewen Henry Davidson MacPherson of Cluny

Ewen Henry Davidson MacPherson was the second son of Ewen MacPherson, 'Old Cluny'. He was born in 1836 and had a long and distinguished military career. He joined the 93rd Highlanders in 1854 and became their commander. He later commanded the 1st Regimental District, 'The Royal Scots', and was Brigadier-General of the Highland Volunteer Brigade. He became chief of the MacPhersons of Cluny on the death of his brother in 1886. He died in 1900.
