Iron Axe Head

This battle-axe head was found on an archaeological dig at Leargan, Rannoch in the 1860s. Leargan was part of the land belonging to the Menzies clan. The Menzies' had a turbulent time fighting against the Young Wolf, Neil Stewart, grandson of the Wolf of Badenoch, in the 15th century and then against the MacGregor clan for many years.
