These diagrams are of an excavation at Kintradwell, near Brora. This stone is described as being a rough sandstone slab and has a Pictish symbol carved into it. It is a class I stone.

The second diagram is of an underground earth house, similar to others in the area. The stone in the third diagram was found in the earth house. The inscriptions on the stone were thought to be similar to early Scandinavian letters.

This illustration can be found in vol.V of the 'Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries in Scotland', 1860-1862
