The ruins of 'Teampull Rona' stand on the Island of Rona, off the Butt of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. This ground plan for the temple is from 'Archaeologia Scotica, or Transactions of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland', Vol V - Part I, Edinburgh, 1873.
Tradition has it that the island was first settled by Saint Ronan and that he built a chapel there. There are a number of chapels in the Hebrides dedicated to him
