View from the Road near Dornie

This postcard shows a view from the road near Dornie.

Situated on the south west coast of Ross and Cromarty and surrounded by the grandeur of the mountains of Kintail and Lochalsh two beautiful sea lochs meet at the foot of a third, Loch Long.

Loch Duich, on the right, stretches inland five and a half miles along the side of the parish of Kintail. It is probably best known for one of Scotland's most photographed castles, Eilean Donan, which is situated at the mouth of the loch. Loch Alsh on the left reaches out to sea between the mainland and the Isle of Skye.
