This postcard shows a view of Loch Duich and the peaks of Kintail, from Letterfearn in West Ross. The walkers could well have been staying at the nearby Ratagan Youth Hostel.
Loch Duich is a sea loch that travels south east from the village of Dornie and leads into the Kyle of Loch Alsh, before flowing into the open sea. The loch is most famous for having Eilean Donan Castle situated at its mouth and the mountain peaks known as 'The Five Sisters of Kintail' also encompass its shoreline
