This postcard shows the Black Rock Gorge at Novar in Easter Ross. The gorge was carved by the River Glass as it flowed from Loch Glass to the Cromarty Firth. Ten feet wide and 150 feet deep, it is crossed by bridges in two places. Today, the Black Rock Gorge is famous for being the backdrop to scenes in the box office film, 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'
