A wild corner on the road to Ullapool from Lochinver

This postcard shows some rugged scenery about two miles from the Achiltibuie junction on the road to Ullapool from Lochinver. The mountain ahead is Ben Mor Coigach which rises to a height of 2437 feet (743 metres).

Lochinver is a fishing port in the Assynt district of Sutherland. It sits at the mouth of the River Inver, where it enters the sea loch, Loch Inver. Ullapool is in Wester Ross on the northern shore of the sea loch, Loch Broom. The road between the two villages passes through some relatively unspoilt territory.
