A Double Scotch from The Isle of Skye

This postcard showing two tartan ribboned 'Scotties' features some of the diversity of Skye for visitors to appreciate. The towering bulk of Marsco at 736m stands over Glen Sligachan in the centre of the island. Further north is the distinctive Old Man of Storr pinnacle at the start of the Trotternish ridge. Portree is the largest village on the island, with the Meall or Lump jutting out into Loch Portree. Duntulm Castle, on the north of the Trotternish peninsula, was fought over by the MacLeods and MacDonalds for years. It has been a ruin since the 18th century when a significant amount of the stone was quarried for building nearby Monkstadt House.
