Broadford and Beinn na Caillich, Skye

Broadford is the second largest centre of population on Skye after Portree, and its situation at the cross roads of several routes has made it a suitable base for tourists wishing to visit the south end of the island. In the days when travel by sea was much the easiest option, the pier at Broadford was a hive of activity, with steamers calling in daily carrying freight and passengers. The rounded slopes of Beinn na Caillich rise behind the village dominating Strath Suardal. This image is the sixth in a six view letter card of Skye
