Cuillin Hills from Kyle of Lochalsh

The route to Plockton from Kyle of Lochalsh provides some dramatic scenes of the Cuillin mountain range on the Isle of Skye. This picture, although noted on the back that it is a real photograph, presents an unusual image of the hills, with the perspective slightly off, and appearing too near. Perhaps it was the result of combining two photographs. However, the scene is always impressive and much admired. The railway line is just visible in the bottom of this photograph. In this area, near Erbusaig, the railway had to be built up above the shoreline with openings to accommodate the tidal water
