In Cool Waters, Loch Slapin, Isle of Skye

A herd of Highland cattle have come down to the cool waters of Loch Slapin. The crofting township of Torrin, on the Broadford to Elgol road, is nearby, with cattle and sheep still much in evidence, alongside the tourist accommodation. Rising high above Loch Slapin is the much photographed Blà Bheinn, a Munro at just over 3000 feet, but standing alone, not part of the main Cuillin ridge.
