Loch Fada and The Old Man of Storr, Skye

Surely one of the most photographed scenes on Skye, the tranquility of Loch Fada in the foreground contrasts with the brooding mass of rock on the skyline known as the Storr. The Storr and the 49m pinnacle of basalt rock at its base, the Old Man of Storr, was formed by volcanic activity, massive landslips and centuries of erosion creating an environment which fascinates visitors and geologists alike.
