Glen Brittle Beach, Isle of Skye

The single track road south from Carbost provides spectacular views of the Cuillin range, and leads to what surely can only be described as a climbers paradise - Glenbrittle. From the length of the glen, to the stretch of sandy beach, the mountains rise above the road, giving easy access to the many climbers and walkers who come to Skye. This postcard shows a colourful array of tents at the campsite, not an uncommon sight in the spring and summer, when huge numbers come to climb the hills
