"Of Course you can bring Nessie, Son!"

Postcard with cartoon image of Loch Ness monster disturbing a family having a picnic with Urquhart Castle in the background.

Over the years, there have been many sightings of Nessie by visiting tourists as well as locals. In April 1934 a visiting women's hockey team from England saw the head and tail of a creature 200 yards out in the loch. In August of the same year a party of visitors were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Nessie as they watched from the tower of Urquhart Castle.
