This photograph shows a slightly elevated view of the village of Kinlochleven. An aluminium works was erected in 1909, and this led to many houses being constructed to accommodate the swelling workforce. Located on the east end of the sea-loch, Kinlochleven originates from Gaelic 'Ceann Loch Liobhan', which translates as head of Loch Leven.
