This photograph shows a view looking east through Castle Street in Dornoch, Sutherland. The castle, after which the street is named, was first built in the twelfth century and was originally the home of the bishops of Caithness. A keep was added to the construction in the fourteenth century and a tower in the sixteenth century. The castle is now run as a hotel and possesses one of the best restaurants in the region.
