This photograph shows the players and staff of Beauly Camanachd who were victorious in the 1897 Camanachd Cup Final. They beat Brae-Lochaber 5-0 in Inverness. It was the second occasion the tournament had been staged (Kingussie had beaten Glasgow Cowal 2-0 in the inaugural final in 1896.) It

This was the first of Beauly's three triumphs (as of 2009) in the Camanachd Cup, the sports premier knockout competition. They retained the trophy in 1898 and won it for a third time in 1913.

Beauly Shinty Club was formed in 1892.
