The Mosaic Fish was the first sculpture commissioned by Taigh Chearsabhagh. The mosaic artist Rosalind Wates won the commission, and in the summer of 1996 created the 5 metre-long mosaic mackerel using locally found materials on the rocky shore of Lochmaddy next to the Taigh Chearsabhagh Arts Centre and Museum
