Reverend John Macmillan and family

Reverend John Macmillan and family. He was minister of the Free Church on Mill St Ullapool, (now the Church of Scotland) from 1872 to 1909.

This Church became the United Free Church in 1900 when the Reverend Macmillan elected to join the Union with the United Presbyterian Church. The majority of his congregation followed him.

Following the merger of the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland in 1929 the joint congregation decided to use the Mill St church as the parish church instead of the Telford Church in West Argyle Street.
