Two pipers at the opening ceremony of the Bicentenary celebrations in the Ullapool Village hall, marking 200 years since the foundation of Ullapool by the British Fisheries Society in 1788. The village was part of the grand scheme initiated by the British Fisheries Society to encourage and support Scottish fishing vessels to fish for herring off the coast of Scotland in place of Dutch and other foreign nations.The Hall was built originally as the first purpose built school in Ullapool.
