Ardmair Bay

This postcard shows Ardmair Bay in Ross-shire. Ardmair is a small crofting township on the shores of Loch Kanaird approximately 3 miles from Ullapool.

On the right hand side of the Bay sits The Isle of Martin, which until 1999 was owned by the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) and therefore inaccessible to the public.

On the 3rd May 1999 it was gifted to the local community who have formed a charitable trust to manage the upkeep and development of the Island.
