Workers at Isle Martin Flour Mill

This photograph shows a group of mill workers from Isle Martin. The flour mill on Isle Martin was operated by the island's owner Commander Vyner from the 1930s until the 1940s. The mill operated in the original herring station buildings, which were built in the early 1700s. The mill provided employment for local men who were ferried back and forward to Isle Martin.
