Snow plough clearing the road at Loch Vatachan

A Highland Council snow plough from Ullapool is seen here clearing snow from the road beside Loch Vatachan near Achiltibuie in west Coigach. The loch's name is sometimes spelt 'Bhatachan' and means 'loch of the copses'. It and nearby Loch Raa are good for trout fishing. On the slopes overlooking the north end of Loch Vatachan are the remains of four hut-circles and some small cairns.
