Memorial Cairn near Inchnadamph

An air cadet crouches beside a memorial cairn on Imir Fada near Inchnadamph, Sutherland.

The cairn was built by cadets from Bridge of Don squadron in 1971 to mark the resting place of six airmen who dies when their Anson aircraft crashed in bad weather on 13 April 1941 whilst on a night cross country navigation exercise from RAF Kinloss.

The cairn is maintained by 161 (Ullapool) D/F Air Training Corps.
