In this audio extract, Mrs Nellie Mackenzie describes what working-class life was like for a Wick woman growing up in the 1920s and 1930s. She describes what they did for entertainment and mentions the Trinkie, a swimming pool on the south side of Wick formed from a natural rockpool. She also talks about Sunday School picnic, a regular annual occurrence. She refers to Dunnet's bus, from a bus company based in Keiss village. Presumably the group used this bus for the relatively long drive to Dunbeath, with Acker's cab being used in the previous years for the shorter distances to Reiss and Ulbster
