This photograph shows detail of the left hand window at the western end of the north wall of the Main Hall in Inverness Town House.

At the top are the crest, shield and motto of Clan Macleod. The crest is a black bull's head between two flags. The shield is blue with a silver castle and the motto is 'Murus aheneus esto' (Be then a wall of brass).

Below on the left are the crest, shield and motto of Clan Campbell. The crest is a boar's head. The shield is quartered. The top left and bottom right quarters are divided in to eight black and gold gyrons (sections). There is a galley in each of the other two quarters. The motto is, at the top, 'Ne obliviscaris' (forget not) and, at the bottom, 'Vix ea nostra voco' (I scarcely call these things my own).

On the right are the crest, shield and motto of Clan Mackay. The crest is a hand holding an upright dagger. The shield is blue with three muzzled boars' heads and the head of a deer between two hands grasping daggers. The motto is 'Manu forte' (with a strong hand)
