Jemimaville Post Office

Jemimaville was founded as an estate village in 1822. It was named after Jemima Poyntz, the Dutch wife of a local Munro laird. Jemimaville was also the home of author Jane Duncan whose childhood holidays were spent with her uncle and grandparents at 'The Colony', a croft above Jemimaville, which later became the 'Reachfar' in her books.
