Souvenir Programme of the presentation of the Freedom of Inverness to the Prince of Wales, pages 2-3

This is the programme of proceedings for the ceremony at which Edward, Prince of Wales was awarded the Freedom of Inverness in 1931. The ceremony took place at the Playhouse and was relayed to another cinema, La Scala. Loudspeakers were set up outside the Playhouse to allow people to listen to the proceedings. Before the ceremony, the audience was entertained by the tenors Giovanni Martinelli and Charles Hackett and by short films featuring Mickey Mouse, the Camerons and Harry Lauder
