Anna Neagle (Florence Marjorie Robertson) was born in London in 1904. Her career as a film actress was developed by the director and producer Herbert Wilcox, who became her husband in 1940.

Her 1958 film 'Odette' documents the life of Odette Churchill who was trained as a spy by the Special Operations Executive at Arisaig and Morar
