This is the content note of a Petition and Deliverance from Alexander MacDonell and others to the Right Honourable the Lords Justice Clerk and Minto, dated 10 September 1750. MacDonell and his friends have been charged with 'deforceing Parte of his Majesty's Forces and rescueing one John McIntosh from their hands, who they said was seized wearing Parte of the Highland Dress' and other crimes.
