Public Notice of Regulations.
Under the 1903 Motor Car Act the Secretary for Scotland, the Right Honourable John Baron Pentland, created a regulation to be known as "The Motor Cars Regulation (County of Inverness) (No.2) Order, 1909". The Order stated that a person may not drive at a speed above 10mph in the specified places, to come into effect at such time as the local authority displayed prominent notices about the fact. The places where there were to be the speed limitations were on the Stratherrick Road, the Inverness, Dores and Foyers Road, Kindrummond Road, the Inverness and Foyers Road and the Pass of Inverfarigaig Road.
