Letter to Rev H. McKenzie Ref: Mary Rofs, Skianid

First page of letter to Rev H McKenzie, Minister of Tongue to request aid be given to Mary Rofs. The letter explains that Mary Rofs is reluctant to accept aid but she is a fit object for charity as she is upwards of sixty years old and unable to support herself.

The letter gives details of her previous employment but states that in the "last twenty years she lived by her industry in a bothy, without so much as a chicken to encumber the tenants, and otherwise inoffensive, she has not a blood relation now living in the district."

This page finishes by stating that she is unable to perform manual labour.
