Petition of Effemy McKay for Poor Relief

Letter to the directors of the Parochial Board for the Poor in the Parish of Tongue to petition them for aid. Effemy McKay was then receiving two shillings per month but was still destitude. Being upwards of eighty years of age she is unable to work.

She requests urgently that "an adequate portion of Parochial relief would be granted her to prevent miserable consequencies."
