Letter to Parochial Board from Charles McKay

Letter from Charles Mackay requesting support for his eight year old daughter whom he is now unable to support. She is "a helpless object, dumb and unable to either walk or stand on her feet and also unable to move her hands."

She has to be tied to the chair to stop her from falling into the fire and needs constant attention. Mr McKay has another three children all under nine years of age but because of this disabled daughter he is unable to provide for them the way he would wish.
