Letter to Parochial board detailing the problems that John Ross and family were undergoing. He had been a tenant in the parish of Tongue for more than fifty years and was now over eighty years of age.

His wife was eighty-two years of age and unable to move about without assistance. His daughter had also been confined to bed for the previous four weeks. Therefore the family was unable to support itself and was applying for poor relief.
