Petition of George McKay to Parochial Board

Petition by George McKay for poor relief. Mr McKay formerly supported his family by being a fisherman but for four or five years since he has been unable to do any manual labour because of a stomach complaint, headaches and asthma.

He had six children all under twelve years of age and so they were unable to provide for themselves. He was currently receiving 3/- per month but this was not enough to provide for his large family. All that he owned was one sheep.

He requests an adequate allowance.
The board grant him 4/- per month
