Letter from Congested Districts Board

Letter from Congested Districts Board, Edinburgh to the Clerk of the Parish Council of Farr regarding Halladale Footbridge.

This letter was in response to a request for a grant to build a bridge near Bighouse near Melvich. The engineer of the board visited the area and felt that a cheap suspension bridge would be dangerous in high winds.

The Congested Districts Board request that the council parish board provide them with an estimate of cost and assurances that they would upkeep the bridge and any access paths.
