Letter To Congested Districts Board re Wire Bridge

Letter from Clerk of the Parish Council to Congested Districts Board with reference to the proposed bridge at Smigill, Halladale.

The letter reports that Col. Gore-Booth feels that the site proposed at Smigill is unsuitable and would require too much roadway and would cost two hundred and sixty pounds for only a footbridge. A small addition to this sum would enable a bridge for vehicular traffic to be built.

The letter states thet the board have been urged to support such a road as this would complete the road systems in the area. So it is up to the Council Board to take the next steps in order for this to happen: plan, estimagte and specify a proposal.
