Jock's Hole, River Thurso

A photograph of Thurso River. Jock's Hole (Beat 1 - River Thurso) produces a lot of fish in the course of the year, and very often spring fish.

The River Thurso rises in the foothills of Cnoc Cromuillt and flows eastward, then northeasterward before passing through Loch More and then turning in a northerly direction. Flowing seaward, it passes through the settlements of Gerston and Halkirk before emptying into Thurso Bay.
