Reply to Macpherson letter by Forbes Brown

Duncan Macpherson regularly supplied Forbes Brown with photographic materials, film, paper and chemicals, sent to various locations on Skye. In this instance Brown writes from Swordale, or Suardal, near Broadford, requesting further supplies, and enclosing three shillings worth of stamps in payment, signing himself "Brown, Photographer". He explains his reason for writing on the reverse of Macpherson's note by stating "Hard up times for notepaper" at the top of the page.
