Advert for lemonade crystals

This advert for tins of crystals with which to make "perfect lemonade" was probably printed by Moorland's, the manufacturer, with their local supplier added at the foot of the page. The supplier in this instance is Duncan Macpherson, who set up and ran the pharmacy in Kyle of Lochalsh from 1912 to the 1960s. His chemist's shop close to the slipway for the ferry to Skye, was well placed to provide a service for tourists as well as the local population, and Macpherson was a very well known figure in the area. The pharmacy supplied toiletries and household necessities as well as pharmaceutical products to the Lochalsh area, South Skye and parts of Harris linked by steamer.
